Administrative Unit

  1. Administer all department general administration-related matters.
  2. Manage all functions and meeting programmes relevant to LBJT.
  3. Coordinate and supervise all aspects of LBJT documentation.
  4. Control and ensure that staffs’ requirements and welfare are maintained and fulfilled.
  5. Control and preserve all department’s assets and properties.
  6. Ensure that the number of staff are constantly sufficient to ensure smooth department operation.
  7. To manage LBJT Bandar Penawar and Bandar Tenggara file system.

 

Finance Unit

  1. To control all LBJT expenses.
  2. To prepare and update all LBJT expenditure records.
  3. To collect all revenue of LBJT.

 

Electrical Unit

  1. Responsible towards project and works which involves electrical and mechanical.
  2. Responsible towards LBJT administration matters which are associated with relevant technical subjects.

 

Assessment and Property Tax Unit

  1. Manage all aspects of property re-evaluation.
  2. Conduct assessment duties.
  3. To organise and coordinate objection hearing towards valuation.
  4. Prepare rate assist contribution claim.
  5. Conduct property tax claim on proportional clients.
  6. To manage transfer of title on proportional holds.

 

Enforcement Unit

  1. Conduct law enforcement duties which has been allocated under the Local Government Act 1976 (Act 171), Street Drainage and Building Act 1974, Act 133 and By-Laws gazetted in LBJT.
  2. To eradicate illegal buildings, stalls and unlicensed hawkers.
  3. To monitor business and industrial activities as well as to ensure that industrial, hawker and trade premises possess license and abide by the licensing terms.
  4. Accept, investigate and take prompt action on public complaints received.
  5. Monitor and take compound action towards the public, companies and shops which violate any laws under Act 171, Act 133, and LBJT By-Laws.
  6. Conduct enforcement patrol by conducting inspection in shops, factories and residential areas to ensure environmental conditions are clean and well-organised.
  7. Shift, demolish and confiscate any form of obstruction, subject to instructions as well as recording and maintaining the confiscated goods.
  8. To inspect licensing for installation of bunting, sign/advertisement board.
  9. To assist and collaborate with units and also other divisions in LBJT in planned / relevant operations according to prescribed laws.
  10. To assist the Police, and Islamic Religious Department in eradication of crime and amoral behaviour among the residents.
  11. To conduct spot checks upon receiving complaints and is subjected to instructions received.
