KEJORA REGIONAL TALENT DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

A practical training session on the field for the KEJORA region Golf Sports Development Program through the Social Development and Rural Development Division was held on July 15, 2022, Friday at Orchard Golf & Country Club, Kota Tinggi, Johor. This is to expose the participants to the real condition of the golf sport after undergoing training at the Golf Training Center (Driving Range) in Bandar Penawar. All participants showed good improvement during field training sessions. Several participants can also be identified as potentially well-positioned during the upcoming MSSD Johor level golf competition. The performance improvement of the participants was assisted by 3 certified trainers appointed by KEJORA.
The Program began in May 2022 and was attended by 30 children from the KEJORA region aged 7 to 17 years. This is one of the talent programs designed by the PSPD Division to uncover the talents of the children of the KEJORA region in Golf.
The KEJORA received excellent cooperation from the Kota Tinggi, Kluang and Johor Bahru District Education offices in the implementation of this program. Special permission for study clearance has been given to students or students selected for training if it involves a school day. This Program is also a ‘platform’ for participants to prepare to participate in the Johor MSSD golf tournament which will take place in August 2022.
It is hoped that this program can produce golf athletes at the national and international levels in the future.

MDUR DURIAN PLANT COURSE 2022

The Southeast Johor Development Authority (KEJORA) through the Agriculture and Agro-Based Industry Division has organized the Mdur Durian crop course 2022 in collaboration with the Malaysian Agricultural Research and Development Institute (MARDI). This course was held on 12-15 July 2022 at Hotel Casuarina Meru and Durio Tourism MARDI Kuala Kangsar, Perak.
This Program was organized by Mr. David Bin Abd. Rahman as Deputy General Manager (Development), KEJORA. A total of 20 participants participated in this course consisting of members of village cooperatives, agricultural operators in mixed crop areas and residents around the KEJORA region.
The main objective of this course is to provide exposure and knowledge to participants about the method of premium durian cultivation and marketing potential for durian plants in theory and practice. In addition, this course also indirectly enhances the knowledge, skills and competitiveness of participants through human capital development training and practical training delivered by MARDI speakers.
The course also highlighted the importance of planting activities until post-harvest to produce high-quality durian fruit in line with the requirements to guarantee the national food supply.

DISCUSSION SESSION WITH PUBLIC SERVICE DEPARTMENT

Discussion session with Public Service Department (JPA) on the implementation of Succession Plan
The KEJORA visited and held discussions with the JPA regarding the implementation of the Succession Plan at the Public Service Department (JPA) on July 14, 2022, Thursday.
The visit was led by Mrs. Marlina binti Amir, deputy general manager (Management) of KEJORA and Mr. Mohd Ashek bin Mohd Hassan, manager of Administration and Human Resource Management.
YBrs. Dr. Anesee Ibrahim, Director of Research, Planning and Policy Division, JPA together with several JPA officers welcomed KEJORA’s wishes and shared the implementation of the replacement plan.
It is hoped that this partnership can be a guide for KEJORA in preparing the replacement plan and establishing close cooperation with the JPA in the future.

KEJORA REGIONAL YOUTH QURBAN WORSHIP COUNCIL 2022

In conjunction with the arrival of Hari Raya Aidiladha this year, KEJORA held the KEJORA Regional Youth Qurban worship (MAQRAB) 2022 at Dataran Tanjung Sedili, Kota Tinggi District, Johor. A total of 53 goats and 1 cow were sacrificed and all the livestock were donated by the Singapore Islamic Religious Scholars & Teachers Association (PERGAS).
The funeral service this time was attended by Mr. David bin Abd. Rahman, Deputy General Manager (Development) of KEJORA representing Dato’ General Manager of KEJORA, management of KEJORA, management of Masjid Ar-Raudhah Kg. Tanjung Sedili, Penghulu Mukim Sedili Besar, Penghulu Mukim Sedili Kecil, Malaysian Armed Forces (ATM), maritime zone TG Sedili, Malaysian fish Development Authority (LKIM) Sedili, Tanjung Sedili police, JPKK Tg. Sedili, JPKK Kg. Small Sedili, schools around Sedili and also Youth-Youth Sedili area.
The ceremony was also graced by the presence of YB. Datuk Halimah binti Mohamed Sadique, Minister of National Unity cum Member of Parliament for Kota Tinggi and YB. Tuan Muszaide bin Makmor, Sedili assemblyman who has distributed sacrificial meat to the Asnaf in this Sedili area.

Pada hari ini, telah berlangsung Kejohanan Olahraga Kali Ke-28, Sekolah Kebangsaan Bandar Penawar, Sekolah Kluster Kecemerlangan di Stadium KEJORA Bandar Penawar. Majlis telah dirasmikan oleh En. Sh. Khayulzahri Bin Sh. A. Raof , Pengurus Pembangunan Sosial dan Pemajuan Desa mewakili Pengurus Besar KEJORA. Dalam ucapan perasmian, beliau berharap agar pembangunan sukan juga diambil berat di peringkat akar umbi dan mengucapkan tahniah kepada SKBP atas penganjuran kejohanan olahraga pada kali ini.
Pengetua Sekolah Kebangsaan Bandar Penawar, Tn. Hj. 6 July 2022-today, KEJORA has received a working visit from Tourism Pahang led by YB Dato’ Seri Hj Sh. Mohmed Puzi Bin Sh. Ali, Deputy Chairman of Tourism Pahang; Mr. Kamaruddin Bin Ibrahim, General Manager of Tourism Pahang with Tourism Pahang delegation to Tanjung Balau fisherman Museum, Bayu Balau Beach Resort and Teratak bidder.
Also participating were the head of Internal Audit, Pahang government secretary’s Office (SUK); representatives from Kejora Development Holding (KDH), Tourism Johor and the Kota Tinggi District Tourism Association.

TANJUNG BUAI AFFORDABLE HOUSE

Today, KEJORA Management conducted a working visit to see the development and problems and issues regarding the development of affordable housing in Kampung Tanjung Buai, Kota Tinggi Johor.
The visit session was led by YBhg. Dato ‘ Hj. Mohd Rusdi bin Mohd Darus, General Manager of KEJORA and management of KEJORA. Also present was YB Puan Fauziah binti Misri ADUN bidder, Tn. Syed Ben Bella bin Syed Agil Alhabshee Special Officer to Pengerang MP, Tanjung Buai village head as well as prime contractor and consultant.
For information, a total of 56 Johor affordable housing units (RMMJ) have been developed and will be fully completed in early September 2022.

KEJORA HAS RECEIVED THE ARRIVAL OF TUAN KHAIRY BIN MAAMOR, DISTRICT OFFICER OF PORT DICKSON

KEJORA has welcomed Tuan Khairy bin Maamor, Port Dickson District Officer with his officers and staff in conjunction with a response visit to KEJORA today.
In conjunction with the visit, the KEJORA delegation led by Puan Marlina binti Amir, deputy general manager (Management) of KEJORA warmly welcomed the delegation of the Port Dickson land and District Office (PDTPD), Negeri Sembilan. The PDTPD delegation was taken to several tourism development project sites in the KEJORA region, namely the Tanjung Surat Island heritage ecotourism. Prior to that, the delegation was given a brief overview of KEJORA and then taken to tour around Tanjung Balau fisherman Museum.
Hopefully the ukhuwah bond between these two agencies will continue

THE JOHOR AGRO CARNIVAL 2022 ORGANIZED BY THE JOHOR STATE AGRICULTURE AGENCY

In conjunction with #roadtoMAHA2022, the Johor Agro Carnival 2022 organized by the Johor State Agriculture Agency was held from 1 to 3 July 2022 at Dataran Segamat, Johor.
The programme was officiated by YB Dato’ Zahari bin Sarip, Chairman of the Johor State Agriculture, Agro-Based Industry and Rural Development Committee on 2 July 2022 (Saturday) at 10.00 am. At the same time, the pre-launch of MAHA 2022 at the South Zone (North Johor) stage was also held.
KEJORA through its subsidiary, KEJORA Agro Sdn. Bhd. (KASB) also participated in the agency exhibition with the concept of Agropelancongan. In addition, KASB has been directly involved in Aquascape demonstrations.

DIGITAL MARKETING COURSE WITH MALAYSIAN RETAILERS AND SUPPLIERS ASSOCIATION (MYBUSRA)

Technology has changed the way entrepreneurs in the KEJORA region do business especially during the Covid-19 pandemic.The presence of online products has become one of the important channels to promote the goods and services offered, therefore, in line with the initiative, digital marketing courses are seen to improve skills in advertising in addition to helping to balance the possibilities when competing for business.
Therefore, KEJORA through the economy and entrepreneurs Unit together with the Malaysian retailers and Suppliers Association (MYBUSRA) held a Digital Marketing Course on June 30 – July 2, 2022 (Thursday-Saturday) at Empire Hotel, Subang Jaya, Selangor. A total of 20 KEJORA region entrepreneurs from the food, service and craft categories participated in the course. This course is also a continuation for participants who have received the machinery and equipment assistance scheme from the KEJORA for the years 2021&2022.
The course was completed by Mr Mohd Fakharur Razziy Bin Hazran, head of economic and entrepreneur Unit. Along with Mr. Riswardi Bin Abd Razak, the president of MYBUSRA and Mrs. Nur Atiqah Binti Othman, Assistant Manager of economic and entrepreneur Unit.
